how does online coaching work?

Whether you are totally new to your health + fitness journey or this isn’t your first rodeo, online training can BE a great fit for all fitness levels because my approach to coaching isn’t one size fits all. everything is tailored to your needs + goals (which is why THE intake process is so thorough). before we even begin coaching, we have a 1:1 call to go over your inatke assessment where we get super clear about your goals and what the best road map to achieving those goals looks like for you and your current lifestyle.

FRom there, everything is delivered to you via app, INCLUDING PROGRAMMING AND CHECK INS. your workouts include video demos of every exercise, the option to track and log your lifts, as well as the ability to send your cOACH FORM FEEDBACK VIDEOS IN CASE YOU AREN’T SURE IF YOU ARE PERFORMING THE EXERCISES WITH PROPER FORM. THIS MEANS THAT WORKOUTS CAN BE DONE ON YOUR TIME, ACCORDING TO YOUR SCHEDULE, WHILE STILL HAVING ACCESS TO YOUR COACH TO ANSWER QUESTIONS OR HELP YOU perfect your lifts.

YOUR WEEKLY CHECK IN form is also delivered IN THE APP. Check ins are the opportunity for us to celebrate your hard work as well as tackle any challenges you may be having and make adjustments as needed to keep you on the path to crushing your goals.

you can also message your coach anytime in the app with any questions or challenges, you are never alone on your journey and I am always here to cheer you on and offer support along the way!

DO YOU REALLY ONLY WORK WITH WOMEN?

YES! SORRY DUDES BUT THIS LIFTING CLUB IS FOR THE LADIES! BUT IF YOU HAPPEN TO BE A DUDE AND ARE LOOKING FOR A SOLID COACH, I AM ALWAYS HAPPY TO REFER OUT MY FAVE COACHES THAT WORK WITH MEN SO HEAD OVER TO THE CONTACT PAGE AND SHOOT ME A MESSAGE!

DO I HAVE TO BE VEGAN TO WORK WITH YOU?

HECK NO! MY COACHING IS FOR ANYONE WHO IS INTERESTED INCORPORATING MORE PLANTS INTO THEIR DIET. MY CLIENTS RANGE FROM TOTAL VEG HEADS TO CURIOUS CARNIVORES, BEING VEGAN OR EVEN VEGETARIAN IS NOT A REQUIREMENT TO WORK WITH ME. YES, THE RECIPES + FOODS I SHARE ARE ALL PLANT BASED BUT MY NUTRITIONAL APPROACH CAN BE APPLIED TO BOTH VEGANS AND MEAT EATERS ALIKE. SO WHETHER YOU ARE A SEASONED PLANT BASED PRINCESS WHO NEEDS HELP PACKING IN MORE PROTEIN TO SUPPORT STRENGTH GOALS + MUSCLE GROWTH OR A LIFE LONG MEAT AND TATERS EATIN’ MAMA WHO IS READY TO CONQUER HER SUSPICION OF VEGGIES AND BOOST YOUR WHOLE FOODS INTAKE, I GOT YOUR BACK!

DO I NEED TO HAVE ACCESS TO A FULL GYM TO WORK WITH YOU?

ABSOLUTELY NOT! PROGRAMMING IS ALWAYS WRITTEN FOR YOU AND ACCORDING TO THE EQUIPMENT YOU HAVE ACCESS TO, WHETHER IT BE A FULL COMMERCIAL GYM OR SOME DUMBBELLS + BANDS TUCKED IN A CORNER OF YOUR GARAGE. YOUR COACH WILL ALWAYS WORK WITH YOU AND THE EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE TO YOU TO CREATE THE BEST PROGRAM FOR YOUR GOALS.

WHAT IS LIFTING HEAVY? (AKA AM I GONNA LOOK LIKE ARNOLD??)

I BELIEVE IN LIFTING HEAVY FOR ALL WOMEN and FOR A MULTITUDE OF REASONS BUT ESPECIALLY IN THE many BENEFITS IT PROVIDES TO SUPPORT WOMEN DURING AND AFTER THE MENOPAUSE TRANSITION. BUT WHAT IS LIFTING HEAVY? IT ISN’T A NUMBER BUT RATHER THE intensity, or EFFORT, with which you lift. and don’t worry if you still don’t know what that means, just know that anyone can lift heavy no matter what stage they are at in their fitness journey and my job as your coach is to help teach you how to lift heavy for you and your abilities + goals TO HELP YOU GET STRONG AF.

p.s. no, i promise you aren’t gonna look like arnold. unless you are a genetic superfreak (in which case, i’m a tad jelly), it takes a lotttttttt of time (we’re talkin years), a lot of food (like, a lotTTTTT of food) and perhaps even some . . . pharmaceutical help. . .

BUT IF YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE IN NEED OF THE EXTRA ACCOUNTABILITY OF WEEKLY 1:1 CALLS OR PERHAPS THIS WHOLE HEALTH THING FEELS SUPER OVERWHELMING AND YOU NEED SOME HELP KNOWING WHAT BABY STEPS TO EVEN START WITH, THEN HABIT BASED COACHING MAY BE THE BEST PLACE FOR YOU TO START! WE BREAK DOWN YOUR GOALS AND REVERSE ENGINEER THEM TO GIVE YOU SMALL WEEKLY ACTION ITEMS TO HELP YOU BUILD THE SKILLS YOU NEED TO ACHIEVE YOIR GOALS. THINK OF IT LIKE LEARNING TO RIDE YOUR BIKE WITH THE TRAINING WHEELS ON. EVENTUALLY, AS YOU GET IN THE GROOVE OF HEALTH + FITNESS BECOMING ENGRAINED DAILY HABITS, THE TRAINING WHEELS ARE NO LONGER NEEDED AND YOU MAY FIND THAT PROGRAMMING IS ALL YOU NEED. DO YOU GIVE ME A MEAL PLAN?

NO MA’AM, NO MEAL PLANS ALLOWED HERE. I DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU BUT THE LAST THING I WANT IS BEING TOLD WHAT I CAN AND CAN NOT EAT. AND AS A COACH, I DON’T BELIEVE THAT ME TELLING YOU EXACTLY WHAT + WHEN TO EAT GIVES YOU THE TOOLS AND KNOWLEDGE TO ACTUALLY FUEL YOUR BODY ACCORDING TO YOUR PREFERENCES, GOALS + LIFESTYLE. INSTEAD, WE FOCUS ON BUILDING NUTRITION HABITS THAT NOT ONLY HELP YOU ACHIEVE THOSE GOALS, BUT THAT WORK FOR YOU AND YOUR LIFE. AND DON’T WORRY, I ALSO SHARE TONS OF TIPS + RECIPES THAT HELP TO TAKE THE OVERWHELM OUT OF EATING TO FEUL YOUR BODY AND GET THE RESULTS YOU ARE WORKING SO DANG HARD FOR!

DO I HAVE TO COMMIT TO 3 MONTHS TO WORK WITH YOU?

YES! BUT LET ME TELL YOU WHY! MY WHOLE GOAL AS A COACH IS TO HELP YOU ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS AND GET YOU THE RESULTS YOU ARE PUTTING IN THE WORK FOR. AND GETTING THOSE RESULTS, ESPECIALLY LONG LASTING RESULTS, TAKES TIME. 3 MONTHS IS USUALLY THE MAGIC SWEET SPOT WHERE LONG LASTING TRANSFORMATION TAKES HOLD (AND WE’RE NOT TALKIN’ JUST PHYSICAL TRANSFORMATION, BUT ALSO LONG LASTING HEALTH HABIT FORMATION). IT ALSO GIVES US PLENTY OF TIME TO ESTABLISH OUR COACH CLIENT RELATIONSHIP AND ENSURE WE ARE BOTH A GOOD FIT FOR EACH OTHER. IF AFTER 3 MONTHS YOU AREN’T FEELING IT, NO LOVE LOST BABE!

what to expect from me as your coach: I am all about client centered coaching. What does that mean? Imagine your health and fitness goals as a destination. You, my friend, are the one driving the bus (or monster truck. Choose your own adventure) to your destination. But don’t worry, I will be here on this journey with you as your trusty road dawg, helping you navigate if you get lost, telling you what a great monster truck driver you are and of course providing snacks and entertainment when needed. The journey is ultimately yours though and you get to decide how and when we get there. And I get it, sometimes we just want someone else to drive while we sit back and enjoy being a passenger princess. But by putting you in the driver’s seat on the road to achieving your health and fitness goals, you are developing sustainable, long term habits that work for YOU and your lifestyle and allow you to navigate any challenges life throws at you without feeling like you have to decide between your health or your lifestyle. And eventually, you are so good at driving that monster truck to any destination that you won’t need me as a coach (I know, just thinking about that makes me miss you already too).
